Out of State - Custody

I had a client contact me from Maryland that wanted to know what his rights were to seeing and becoming a part of his infant son's life. His girlfriend had recently been arrested for attempting to chok ... e him (the father) and he moved out of Minnesota to get his life back together. After establishing paternity and having him adjudicated the father of the child, we began working on obtaining permanent physical custody and the ability to move out of state with the child. A year and a half and one trial later, my client currently lives in Maryland with his nearly two-year-old son.
