OUTCOME: The eviction action was dismissed
Clients had filed for personal bankruptcy and the landlord had brought an eviction action after the bankruptcy had been filed. The eviction was dismissed.
OUTCOME: Homeowner received a beneficial loan modification.
My client was facing a foreclosure sale. I first got the sale stopped and then obtained a loan modification for my client. My client went from a 9.8% variable interest rate with a $2,600 per month pa ... yment to a 4.85% fixed rate with a $1,600 per month payment. Not everyone is a good candidate for a loan modification, but many homeowner actually are good candidates. My goal is to help my clients figure out what their options are and to give them a road map to recovery.
OUTCOME: Tenants obtained favorable outcome
Successfully defended rent-to-own tenants against wrongful eviction, obtained judgments against United Management Group for illegally obtained rent, and helped one rent-to-own tenant with eventual purc ... hase of the property he was renting.
