Eric Vaughn Hackwelder

Attorney Hackwelder had me do all the legwork for my hearing. Then at the hearing told me to just accept the charges. When I refused he negotiated with the other attorney and said he got my punishment decreased. When I received the actual punishment, it was nothing like he told me and what I agreed t...o. He wouldn’t help me fix his mistake and dodged my calls from that point forward. He has no ethics whatsoever. Avoid him at all costs.

I hired attorney Hackwelder for a child custody case. It was an ongoing battle for 3 years and Eric stood in my corner from day one. Mr. Hackwelder and Mr. Sebald both worked very diligently to a resolution of a very serious case. My son was accused of a crime that would have cost him his freedom and caused irreparable harm to his reputation and his family unit. A conviction would have led to certain alienation of his rights as a ...father. My son, a provider and a family man was accused by a third party with an obvious agenda. Both Hackwelder and Sebald did exactly as the indicated at our first meeting. They said that this case would end up dismissed and it was. They were able to successfully demonstrate to the district attorney that there was no way that this case would be successfully prosecuted because of the lack of evidence, improper conduct and the overt agenda of the accusing party. I would not hesitate to ask Eric Hackwelder or Stephen Sebald to represent my loved ones again and you definitely shouldn't look any further.

I hired Eric for someone who was facing serious felony charges. He is fairly young man with a young child who he absolutely adores. He had made mistakes and I didn't feel he needed to go to jail and be separated from that child. Eric was extremely helpful and actually you could tell that he took this... case personally because of all of the time and effort he put into the case. He was always available to us and his family. When it came time for the sentencing we all thought he was going to jail. When the judge sentenced him to 3 years parole we were all extremely happy.
