The Warren Grain Elevator failed and suit was started against Cargill which had financed the elevator's operations. A Marshall County, MN jury determined that Cargill that Cargill by its control of th ... e grain elevator had made the elevator an agent of Cargill; and, Cargill was therefore responsible for the grain elevator's debts to the farmers. More than $ 2,600,000 was awarded to the farmers and recovered from Cargill.
