Representing the State of Minnesota at a bench trial, Ryan obtained convictions for one count of domestic assault and one count of disorderly conduct. The defendant appealed his convictions claiming t ... hat his right to a speedy trial was violated, that the evidence was insufficient to prove his guilt, and the court applied the incorrect standard of proof in a criminal matter. The court of appeals affirmed the convictions.

Ms. Green appealed the district court's order which modified custody and parenting time in favor of Mr. Graffunder. Ms. Green based her appeal on the district court's decision to exclude the minor chi ... ld from testifying at the evidentiary hearing. On appeal, I authored Mr. Graffunder's brief. Mark McDonough, Mr. Graffunder's attorney for the motion before the district court, argued the case at oral argument.
