Appeal of the employment termination of a Department of Corrections Officer. The Appellant was fired for being convicted of the Disorderly Persons offense of Simple Assault. Initially it was believed ... that the conviction triggered the Lautenberg Amendment, making Officer Frazier lose the rights to his weapons I.D. card. However, I argued successfully that subsection a(3) of the assault statute falls outside the language in the Lautenberg amendment.
