Lower court dismissed claims of firearm’s owner. Mr. Nugent represented firearms owner on appeal. The Appellate Division reversed the lower court decision finding that firearms owner had protectable property interest in rifles and shotguns and sheriff did not have authority to destroy those weapons under statute.
