Legal Permanent Resident alien was detained by Immigration upon application to renew permanent resident card. Alien's criminal history included three felony convictions. Counsel filed for and argued ... a three hour cancellation of removal hearing before the Immigration Court. Immigration Judge, after great deliberation, granted Cancellation of Removal. Government appealed the judge's decision. Counsel argued before the Board of Immigration Appeals to uphold the IJ's decision. Board agreed with counsel and dismissed the government's appeal.
