We are proud to announce that our firm, Gilliland Vanasdale Law Office, LLC, successfully won an appeal challenging a Judge who misapplied the law and abused its discretion by denying a contempt petiti ... on when a party in the case failed to comply with a family court Order. The Superior Court found that the Judge's denial of our contempt petition was "contrary to the law and lacking in reason." The opinion posted today by the Pennsylvania Superior Court was published, making it a legally binding precedent in Pennsylvania. We are incredibly thankful and proud of this achievement, as we believe the outcome will benefit other family court counsel and litigants seeking orders to be enforced fairly and without arbitrary treatment. It’s worth noting that the trial Judge was a former law clerk to former Butler County Judge Doerr. As some of you may recall, we opposed his inappropriate behavior in the courthouse and his oldest son’s 35 felonies related to child pornography, with a no jail sentence. We are proud to have pursued justice and are grateful that it prevailed in this case.
