State of New Jersey v. D.L.C.
Jul 22, 2011OUTCOME: The Superior Court of New Jersey, Appeallate Division, in case bearing Docket No. A-2013-11T3reversed Judge Rubin's denial of expungement. D.L.C.'s record was expunged in its entirety.
D.L.C. was adjudicated delinquent for actions as a juvenile which, if committed by an adult, would have been classified as crimes. He was additionally convicted of a criminal offense as an adult. D.L ... .C. retained me to expunge his record. The State objected. The State contended that his juvenile adjudication plus his adult criminal conviction exceeded the limit of criminal convictions that could be expunged. Hon. Stephen B. Rubin, J.S.C., sitting in Flemington, agreed. We appealed.
