An appeal to the New Jersey Superior Court Appellate Division regarding the final judgment of divorce, challenging alimony, child support, equitable distribution and counsel fee awards. This case invol ... ved the termination of a 22-year marriage, including two teenage children born of the marriage. The appellate court denied the plaintiff’s appeal and affirmed the entirety of the trial court decision. Plaintiff’s claims for appeal were determined erroneous and the entire original verdict was upheld for our client.

Before their New Jersey divorce, the parties verbally agreed to acquire a "handyman's special" home, renovate and resell it, and split the profits equally. The ex-wife calculated her one-half equity sh ... are at $40,500, based on an appraised value of $775,000, less costs of purchase ($522,000) and renovations ($172,000). She was awarded $40,500 plus costs, based on the hypothetical sale of the property. The New Jersey divorce judge's decision is affirmed. In fact, the case is remanded for a determination of how much the ex-husband must now pay for the ex-wife's counsel fees.
