Mom was charged with child neglect and obtaining money through false pretenses. She thought her son had Leukemia and told several other people and groups. One of the groups were the Boy Scouts who he ... ld fundraisers and collected money, toys and other gifts which they gave to my client. The problem was that her son did not have Leukemia and was perfectly healthy and knew it when she accepted the gifts and money. She was also accused of giving her child medicine to make him lethargic and shaved his head to make him appear sick.
