Debtors paid a debt management approximately $14,000 over the course of just over a year to settle their six debts. Unbeknownst to Debtors, only one of their debts was actually settled. In the meantim ... e, Debtors decided a chapter 13 bankruptcy would be a more affordable option and filed the bankruptcy. Debtors requested a refund of the fees paid to NCLG and were told that all funds paid to NCLG, other than for the one account settled, were applied to NCLG's various fees. Debtors filed an Adversary Proceeding in their bankruptcy case demanding that the funds paid be returned to them.
