Commonwealth vs George D. Walls CC200214218

Attorney William A. Brandstetter, II represented me in the case entitled Commonwealth vs. George D. Walls, CC200214218 in Allegheny County in a Post Verdict Motion hearing. He did a wonderful Job and help me by getting the Honorable Judge Raymond A. Novak to grant me a new trial. However, the Comm...onwealth appealed and the Superior court reversed. I ended up receiving a sentence of 5 to 10, which was later REVERSED & REMANDED pursuant to a Pro Se PCRA Petition that I filed. I am submitting this review because Attorney Brandstetter II, allowed my Direct Appeal rights expire and cause me to sit in a State Correctional Institution for approximately 6 and a half years because he effectively abandon my Direct Appeal rights and didn't pursuit any of the issues or claims that could have kept me free. After I was granted a new trial pursuant to the (PCRA) petition that I filed pro se, I wrote Attorney Willaim A. Brandstetter, II, Esquire and requested that he simply write me a Certificate of merit letter pursuant to PA Rule of Civil Procedures Rule 1042.3, however, Attorney Brandstetter, II refused to assist me and left me with no possible way to file my legal malpractice claim against the first attorney (Ernest H. Sharif) who mishandled my jury trial. You can read more about this case: Superior Court of Pennsylvania wrote and published an Opinion: See: Commonwealth vs. George D. Walls, cite as: 2010 PA Super PA 54 (2010) and/or Commonwealth vs. George D. Walls, 993 A.2d 289 (Pa Super 54 2010) The Opinion was filed on April 7th, 2010. If you would like more details please send me an Email at: [email protected] -or- your can sent me a text at: (412)478-1187. I am hearing impaired therefore it would be better if you emailed me or text me no voice calls. If you this you may be able to provide me with legal help related to my legal malpractice claims or my wrongful imprisonment claims feel free to contact me immediately.

Our Rating is calculated using information the lawyer has included on their profile in addition to the information we collect from state bar associations and other organizations that license legal professionals. Attorneys who claim their profiles and provide Avvo with more information tend to have a higher rating than those who do not.

What determines Avvo Rating?
  • Experience & background Years licensed, work experience, education
  • Legal community recognition Peer endorsements, associations, awards
  • Legal thought leadership Publications, speaking engagements
  • Discipline Disciplinary information may not be comprehensive, or updated. We recommend that you always check a lawyer's disciplinary status with their respective state bar association before hiring them.
