The client was charged with Assault First Degree and Assault Second Degree. The client was traveling from PA to TE and stopped at a truck stop. While at the truck stop he was approached by an off dut ... y police officer who at the time did not identify himself as one. The client flicked a cigarette out his window and the officer picked the cigarette up and flicked it back into the truck cab of our client. As the client exited the vehicle to question the officer about his actions, the officer struck the client in the mouth. The client sought a stick from his vehicle and when he returned to defend himself, the officer identified himself and drew his weapon. The client returned the stick to his vehicle and the client was arrested. The client was charged under the theory of intent to frighten under the assault laws. The case was tried before a Judge and asserted the self-defense argument. The client was found not guilty of all charges

The client was charged with reckless endangerment. The facts of the case allege that the Defendant and her husband had separated and a Judge granted a protective order providing that the Defendant cou ... ld return to the house and remove her belongings. While the husband was at work the Defendant and up to 5 other people visited the home and removed personal items. When the husband returned, he claimed that two gas range knobs had been turned on and released a substantial amount of natural gas. The police arrived and charged the wife with reckless endangerment. A decision was made to try the case and with testimony taken by the State from the husband, the police officer, and a neighbor, who could not identify the Defendant. The Judge granted a motion after the State's case dismissing the charges thus the client was found not guilty.
