Plaintiff alleged that Essex Community College ("College") terminated her employment in violation of the ADA, which provides that "[n]o covered entity shall discriminate against a qualified individual ... with a disability because of the disability of such individual...." 42 U.S.C. § 12112(a). The U.S. District Court for the District of Maryland denied Plaintiff's ADA/discrimination claim, granting summary judgment in Defendant's favor on grounds that Plaintiff was not qualified for her job, could not perform the essential functions of her job even with her requested accommodation and that Plaintiff was unable to prove Defendant discriminated against her in any way.
