Best Lawyer in Fayette County

Michelle Kelley is the best. I was referred to her after I got Emergency PFA on my ex, by a family friend . She is amazing. she really listens to you,and she will steer you in the right right direction when most won't.

Look no further

I hired Attorney Kelley to represent me in a custody and divorce case. While it's true, she is in court a lot, I never had a communication problem with her office. Her secretary Tricia returned all of my calls (there were a lot) in a timely and prompt manner. If I needed to see Attorney Kelley,... I scheduled an appointment and she always took as much time as needed to explain everything to me and answer all of my questions which there were always a lot of those too. She was personal and cared about my case. I will recommend her to everyone I know! Before I picked her I met with several others who just really didn't seem to care. That was the difference for me.

Forever grateful!

I retained Michelle after talking to family and friends after my husband of 17 years left me for another woman. It was the absolute worst time of my life. I was nothing and didn't know where to turn. Michelle took the time to answer all of my questions and explained the whole process to me ulti...nmetely allowing me to make evey decision after she explained it all to me. She not only cared about the case but me too. It was the best decision I could have made. I am only posting my story after I read the bad review someone else left Michelle because there must have been more to that story. Sounds like maybe she didn't have much of a case to me. Michelle is the only thing that got me through the worst time of my life. I will be forever grateful.

Horrible communication and poor representation.

I hired Michelle Kelley in 2011 to handle my divorce. A settlement was reached in May of 2013. During that time, communication from Michelle Kelley's office went from slow to nonexistent. Michelle only hires 1 part time secretary, so all calls go to voicemail. Sometime in early to mid 2012, calls wen...t from being returned in a few days to not being returned for 2 weeks or more, and only after leaving multiple messages. She refuses to use email, so telephone is the only form of contact, as there was usually nobody in the office. In the settlement, that Michelle insisted on writing, instead of allowing the opposing council, Michelle left a section out of the final copy that was in the earlier draft that stated terms in case my ex failed to follow through with payment of the settlement, which did happen. The agreement was reached that he would buy my share of the marital home and pay within 60 days. When that time came, I tried contacting Michelle Kelley to proceed legally with collection. After over 2 months and multiple phone calls, her secretary finally called back one time to say that they'd look into it. During that time, I tried to seek other council, but found that the settlement agreement was so poorly written, I had little ground to stand on and would simply have to wait. After 180 days, I finally received full payment of the settlement. However, in that time, only ever received one return call from Michelle Kelley's office. She also refused to return my calls when I asked her to file to release me from her representation so I could retain other council. I have since talked to another attorney, and have been told that much of what she told me was not necessarily true. She recommended action that sacrificed my interests in order to make for an easier settlement. Granted, I wanted to settle. However, had she had any backbone, I'd have fought harder for a more fair settlement. Instead, she had me afraid of losing much more. I would not recommend Michelle Kelley to anybody. Her communication was horrible, and I don't feel that her advice nor her actions represented my best interests.
