Gary David Monaghan

Attorney Gary Monaghan is the premier workers' compensation lawyer of Fayette County and has been practicing law in southwestern Pennsylvania since 1981. A graduate of the University of Dayton School of Law (J.D. 1981) and Pennsylvania State University (B.A. 1976), he is a founding partner of the Monaghan law office, and for 35 years, has concentrated his practice in the areas of Workers’ Compensation and Social Security Disability.

Attorney Monaghan is admitted to practice before all courts of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, the United States District Court for the Western District of Pennsylvania, the Third Circuit Court of Appeals, the United States Supreme Court and the United States Claims Court. Gary is a member and past-president of the Fayette County Bar Association, as well as a member of the Pennsylvania Bar Association and the American and Pennsylvania Associations for Justice.

He is also certified as a specialist in the practice of workers’ compensation law by the Pennsylvania Bar Association’s Section on Workers’ Compensation Law as authorized by the Pennsylvania Supreme Court.

Throughout his career, Attorney Monaghan has been involved in various community and local service organizations. He is a former Chief Volunteer Officer of the Uniontown Area YMCA Board of Directors, and past-Chair of the Penn State Fayette, The Eberly Campus, Advisory Board.

He is a lifetime resident of Fayette County. He and his wife, Louise live in Uniontown and have four children and two granddaughters.
