This accident took place in the intersection of CTH V and CTH I in the Town of Vienna which is in northern Dane County. Ms. Morrow was proceeding westbound on CTH V in a fully marked State Patrol vehi ... cle when the defendant, Peter Stark, ran the stop sign controlling traffic on CTH I while attempting to pull on to westbound CTH V resulting in the collision. The plaintiff sustained injuries to her left knee, left hip and left elbow. More specifically, she sustained a left displaced posterior acetabular wall fracture, a tibial plateau fracture and a left ulnar nerve compression injury. The plaintiff had a series of surgeries in an effort to address these injuries. She had a left elbow ulnar nerve transposition surgery, a left hip arthroscopy and a left knee arthroscopy. The plaintiff’s final surgery was a total hip replacement. There is a total left knee replacement slated sometime in the near future. Further, the plaintiff sustained a series of psychological injuries as well. The plaintiff has suffered from a combination of PTSD, depression and an anxiety disorder. Within a few months of the accident, the plaintiff was deemed totally vocationally disabled by both the State of Wisconsin and Social Security. She was consequently forced to take early retirement from the State Patrol.
