Biography
Prior to joining K&L Gates LLP, I have consulted for the oil and gas industry and has worked for a hydrocarbon processing company in the development of catalysis based reactors. Additionally, I have worked for a large corporation as a chemical engineer and as an intellectual property coordinator. My role included designing innovative products, evaluating contracts, generating government funded contract required disclosures, evaluating innovations, procuring patents, and managing the intellectual property portfolio. Additionally, I have worked for a boutique intellectual property law firm in the D.C. metro area.
My technical concentration is in the chemical, biotech, materials science, and mechanical areas. Examples of my technical concentration include, polymers, polymerization processes such as Atom Transfer Radical Polymerization (ATRP), foams, coatings, polyurethanes, enzymology, expression vectors, hydrocarbon processing, catalysis, fluidic devices, and photovoltaic cells.
