Nathaniel Beaumont Beard

Beau Beard focuses his practice on corporate and oil & gas law. In his corporate practice, Beau regularly handles day-to-day transaction work, buys and sells businesses or their assets, and works directly with family-owned and closely held businesses in dealing with challenging business issues such as redemptions, buy/sell arrangements, shareholder and shadow equity agreements, transitions and other issues unique to such businesses.

As part of his oil & gas practice, Beau (i) buys and sells oil & gas interests in wells, leases and related assets, (ii) negotiates and drafts Joint Operating Agreements, Exploration Agreements as well as contracts for drilling, well service and lease acquisition, and (iii) negotiates and drafts pipeline management and ownership agreements. Beau's corporate experience carries over to the firm's bankruptcy and insolvency group where he represents both creditors and debtors in out-of-court workouts.
