Justin Thomas Romano

Justin T. Romano is an experienced litigator.  He has successfully represented clients ranging from individuals to Fortune 500 companies in a variety of matters.  He currently maintains a broad civil practice focusing on commercial, personal injury, and appellate litigation.  His recent cases include disputes involving the following: antitrust, breach of contract, unjust enrichment, UCC, trade secrets, wrongful termination, non-compete agreements, promissory estoppel, fraud, misrepresentation, misappropriation, corporate waste, breach of fiduciary duty, tortious interference with contractual relations, conspiracy, insurance coverage, quiet title, FCRA, fair debt collection, injunctive relief, personal injury, products liability, and medical malpractice.  He also has experience in transactional matters. 

Mr. Romano is licensed to practice in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, the State of West Virginia, and the Federal District Courts for the Western District of Pennsylvania, Southern District of West Virginia, and Eastern District of Wisconsin.  He has represented clients in trial courts, appellate courts, and administrative tribunals throughout those jurisdictions, amongst others.  

Mr. Romano graduated from Penn State University in 2006 with a Bachelor of Science Degree.  He earned his Juris Doctor from Duquesne University School of Law in 2009, where he received the Clinical Legal Education Outstanding Student Award.  From 2014-2017, he has been honored to be selected by his peers as a Pennsylvania Super Lawyers Rising Star—a distinction given to the top 2.5% of attorneys practicing fewer than ten years in Pennsylvania.  

Mr. Romano is also active in the community.  He has served as an elected council member of the Allegheny County Bar Association Young Lawyers Division and as a member of Mayor Bill Peduto’s Transition Committee.  He currently serves on the boards of PULSE Pittsburgh and the Greater Pittsburgh Chapter of the American Civil Liberties Union.  He is a graduate of Leadership Pittsburgh’s LDI Class XXIII.  In addition to his practice, he serves as an adjunct professor at Duquesne University School of Law and has presented at continuing education seminars for the Pennsylvania Bar Institute.
