Erin Brooke Friez

Erin Friez received her B.A. degree from West Virginia Wesleyan College in 2007 where she graduated cum laude. She went on to receive her Juris Doctor degree from the University of Pittsburgh School of Law in 2011, graduating cum laude and in the top 10% of her class as a member of the Order of the Coif. 

Erin has focused her career on employment and corporate law. She has extensive experience advising and consulting her clients through all manner of employment law issues, including employment and executive contracts, separation agreements, drafting employee handbooks and policies, as well as issues surrounding hiring and firing, unemployment compensation and discrimination laws. She has been involved in numerous cases in Federal and State Courts, as well as before the EEOC and PHRC as well as successfully representing several clients at Unemployment Compensation hearings.

She also has extensive experience helping clients navigate corporate law issues. She has led clients from  organizational formation through acquisition, as well as drafted and negotiated all manner of contracts, including sales, consulting and license agreements. Erin has worked with a numerous startup companies in the Pittsburgh area on a number of issues specific to that community.

While in law school, Erin was recognized for her academic achievement. She received the CALI Excellance for the Future Awards for Antitrust as well as Federal Courts and Federal Litigation. She served as an Executive Editor of the Journal of Law and Commerce and was a law clerk for the City of Pittsburgh Department of Law, focusing on HR and employment issues, as well as contract and negotiation issues.

Erin currently resides in Regent Square with her husband, Tim, and daughter, Lily. She serves as a Director, Secretary and Chair of the HR Committee for the Board of Directors for the Nine Mile Run Watershed Association
