Timothy Joseph Lyon

As a trial and appellate attorney with more than twenty years’ experience, Tim handles a wide variety of complex criminal and commercial litigation matters. Tim’s practice includes representation of individuals facing or convicted of criminal charges in both state and federal courts at all stages of the process, including investigation / pre-indictment, trial (jury or non-jury), sentencing, and direct appeal. He also has extensive experience in collateral criminal proceedings involving the Pennsylvania Post-Conviction Relief Act and federal habeas corpus statutes (28 U.S.C. §§ 2254 & 2255). In addition, Tim represents people and businesses (both public and private) forced to litigate contract disputes, product liability matters, corporate ownership issues, business acquisition claims, insurance coverage actions, real estate concerns, and civil rights cases. He has appeared in trial courts across Pennsylvania and the country and briefed and argued appeals before the United States Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit, the Pennsylvania Supreme Court, the Pennsylvania Superior Court, and the Pennsylvania Commonwealth Court.
