Peter Rogers has been my immigration lawyer for the past 11 years and has been tenacious and easy to reach throughout the entire process of moving me from an L visa to an H-1B visa and then obtaining my green card. I came to the United States from Vietnam in 1999 on a C-1 visa. I met with several lawyers over the years and they all told me that, because I had come in on the C-1, they couldn't help me without sending me back to Vietnam which would be very risky. I met with Pete Rogers and he too wasn't sure he... was going to be able to help me without me traveling back to Vietnam. However, he told me that "If there is a way to do it, I will find it for you." He was confident that he could help me. He did. He was able to adjust my status to permanent resident without me having to go back to Vietnam. After I received my green card I traveled to Vietnam to see my father for the first time in 15 years. Today the fear of having to leave the U.S. and be separated from my family is finally lifted off of our shoulders. Mr. Rogers and his staff made it happen and now we have a new life in the U.S.
