Mark Thomas Del Duca

With family roots in Western Pennsylvania, Attorney Mark Thomas Del Duca has split his professional life between the Greater Pittsburgh area and Tidewater, Virginia. Attorney Del Duca limits his practice to personal injury and civil rights litigation. Attorney Del Duca graduated from the Norfolk Academy in 1980 where he was a multisport varsity athlete for four years. At Virginia Commonwealth University, Del Duca was a member of the varsity baseball team. Upon completing his undergraduate degree in 1984, Del Duca continued his academic career at the Duquesne University School of Law. While at Duquesne, he was the graduate assistant varsity baseball coach. After graduating from law school in May 1987, Del Duca reported to Quantico, Virginia, where he entered the Federal Bureau of Investigation's (FBI) New Agent Class. He graduated from Quantico in December 1987 and became a Special Agent of the FBI. Upon leaving the FBI, Attorney Del Duca served as an Assistant Commonwealth's Attorney for the City of Virginia Beach and later, was named the Public Safety Attorney for the City of Virginia Beach until his entry into private practice. Attorney Del Duca has practiced law in the Commonwealths of Virginia and Pennsylvania since 1992 in both State and Federal court. Throughout his 23 years of practice, Del Duca has handled employment, personnel, criminal, personal injury and civil litigation matters. In addition, he has represented state and municipal employees before various municipal and state review panels and boards. He was editor of The Virginia Law Enforcement Journal from 1996-2001. Mark was an Adjunct Professor at Saint Leo University from 1993-2013 and at Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University from 2003-2011. He is a former Chair of the Second District Discipline Committee for the Virginia State Bar, serving on a pro bono basis. Attorney Del Duca and his wife, Barbara are the parents of three daughters and are also the proud owners of three dogs and a cat. Del Duca's interests outside of law are golf, running, target shooting, trail bicycle riding and yard work.
