I graduated from the University of the District of Columbia David A. Clarke School of Law in May, 2012. I am now an Associate Attorney at Ruder Law, a firm in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania which primarily provides representation to families of individuals with disabilities. From August 2012 through September 2015, I worked as an Associate at the law firm of Tremba, Kinney, Greiner & Kerr, LLC in Greensburg, PA and was admitted to practice law in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania in October, 2012. I was admitted to the Western District of Pennsylvania in April of 2013, and to the United States Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit in May of 2013.
I have previously worked in a clinical legal setting and managed a small caseload (supervised by a professor/attorney) of cases relating to special education.
Additionally, I worked as a classroom teacher for many summers at the HELP Foundation Summer Program. (Prior to working as a teacher in the program, I worked as a classroom aide, then a teacher's aide, then an assistant teacher. Only after gaining this experience was I permitted to manage my own classroom as the classroom teacher). My classroom consisted of 10-12 students each summer, and all students had both physical and developmental disabilities. I was responsible for implementing classroom activities based on each student in the classroom's IEP goals and objectives. I was responsible for collecting data on these objectives, and prepared final reports on each student. Further, I was responsible for evaluating the other staff in my classroom.
