Christopher James Owens

CHRISTOPHER J. OWENS handles such matters as patent searches, preparation and prosecution of U.S. patent applications, preparation and prosecution of U.S. trademark applications, oppositions of U.S. trademark applications and instructing foreign associates regarding patent prosecution. He has experience with various technologies including mechanical tooling design, medical devices, environmental remediation systems, industrial materials, metal alloys and composites.

 

Mr. Owens earned his J.D. at the University of Pittsburgh School of Law where he served as an Associate Editor for the Journal of Law and Commerce.  He also served as the Business Manager for the Student Intellectual Property Law Association. Mr. Owens earned his M.B.A at the University of Pittsburgh Katz School of Business. He received his B.S., cum laude, in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Pittsburgh Swanson School of Engineering. Mr. Owens is registered to practice before the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office.

 

Mr. Owens is a member of the American Inns of Court, the Pittsburgh Intellectual Property Law Association, the Innovation Practice Institute, and the American Intellectual Property Law Association.
