Arnold Peter Bernard Jr.

Arnold P. Bernard, Jr. is a licensed attorney who owns and operates his own general practice.  Although he does maintain a primary focus on criminal defense, Mr. Bernard also has experience practicing civil law, family law, estate planning, and more.  However, Mr. Bernard is more than just an attorney: he's a vigorous advocate who cares.

Attorney Bernard comes from a long line of attorneys and law enforcement.  The great-grandson of a Common Pleas Court judge, nephew to several successful lawyers, and son of a law enforcement officer, Attorney Bernard grew up in a small town in Cambria County, just outside of Johnstown, Pennsylvania.    From middle school on Attorney Bernard always knew he wanted to become a lawyer to protect the innocent, help the needy, and seek justice for the victimized.  Believing that there's no better place to do so than in your own community, Attorney Bernard began his career by representing indigent clients through the court appointment program in Cambria County.  He continues to accept court appointments today and also represents indigent clients through the Criminal Justice Act Panel for the Third Circuit Court of Appeals.

Arnold attended Duquesne University where he received both his undergraduate and law degree.  During law school, Arnold worked as a law clerk for two established criminal defense attorneys during which time he helped with trial preparation and honed his written advocacy skills by drafting briefs, motions, and other legal memoranda.  Also during that time, Mr. Bernard wrote for the Duquesne Criminal Law Journal and participated in the trial advocacy program which competed in mock trial competitions across the country.

Since graduating law school in 2012, Attorney Bernard passed the Pennsylvania Bar Exam and has represented clients in courts across the Commonwealth.

Attorney Bernard and his wife currently reside in Pittsburgh.  In his spare time, Attorney Bernard enjoys, jogging, golf, and cheering on the Pirates and Penguins.
