Biography
Amanda J. McCracken Raber is an associate at Gentile, Horoho & Avalli, P.C. With a background in family law, Amanda’s practice spans all aspects of family law, including divorce, equitable distribution, custody and support. Amanda also negotiates and drafts prenuptial, postnuptial and marriage settlement agreements.
After graduating from Point Park University magna cum laude in 2004, Amanda went on to receive her Juris Doctor from Duquesne University School of Law, graduating 10th in her class. During her law school tenure, Amanda was the Executive Recent Decisions Editor of the Duquesne Law Review and won the prestigious CALI Excellence for the Future Award, given to the student with the highest grade in the class.
Amanda was named a Pennsylvania Super Lawyers Rising Star in 2014, 2015 and 2016. She has written case notes for the Pennsylvania Family Lawyer, has prepared materials for the Allegheny County Bench-Bar Conference and wrote the Support Case Law Updates for and participated on the panel at the Pennsylvania Bar Association Family Law Section Summer Meeting in Cambridge, Maryland.
Amanda began her career as a paralegal at a small law firm, concentrating in matters of family law. She joined Gentile, Horoho & Avalli, P.C., as a legal assistant while attending law school, and was later hired as an associate.
She is a member of the Allegheny County Bar Association and Pennsylvania Bar Association, as well as their Family Law Sections and Young Lawyers Divisions.
