Stephen H. Lebovitz

Stephen H. Lebovitz, Esquire is a third-generation attorney and principal of Lebovitz & Lebovitz, P.A., a Pittsburgh law firm with roots dating to the 1930s. He earned a B.S. in Economics from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania in 1986 and his J.D. from the University of Pittsburgh School of Law in 1989.
Admitted to the Pennsylvania Bar in 1989, Mr. Lebovitz joined his father and grandfather in practice at Lebovitz & Lebovitz, P.A. He was subsequently admitted to the Maine Bar in 1992, the Florida Bar in 1993, and is admitted to practice before the United States Tax Court.
A significant part of his practice involves estate planning, probate, and wealth transfer for individuals and families with long-held real estate, closely held businesses, and multigenerational assets. He advises on wills, trusts, special needs planning, and ownership structures designed to preserve control and reduce future conflict across Pennsylvania, Florida, and Maine.
His broader practice includes civil litigation, real estate matters, family law, business disputes, and tax-related work. His economics and finance background has been particularly valuable in matters involving business valuation and FINRA-related issues. He has served on boards and as trustee for charitable and business organizations throughout the Pittsburgh region.
