Excellent lawyer for our wills and powers of attorney

My wife and I wanted to set up our wills and living wills and powers of attorney for finances and health care. We found Jeffrey Pollock through an internet search. At a very reasonable cost, we hired him to set up our documents . It was a very positive experience. Jeffrey was efficient, quick with... his responses to our email, and very personable. We recommend him without any reservation, and we will consult him in future for any legal help we may need.

We made a great team.

I found Mr. Pollock through the NLSA (Legal Aid) program and he did exceptional work. I was very happy to have an attorney of his caliber avail himself to this program and represent me when I was unable to otherwise afford good counsel. He represented me in an initial child support case and I am happ...y with the settlement. If you are the strong type to know how to negotiate and rebuttal during a settlement, he will complement you very well. He is happy to oblige you to negotiate what things you can think of to ask for on your own. His correspondence to opposing counsel was great and he did have a few tricks up his sleeve which benefited me and the information I was able to utilize in order to advance my position. I am a high needs client sending numerous emails and phone calls (typically on a daily basis) and he always responded to each contact the same day or in less than 24 hours.

Trustworthy Attorney

I have been in consultation with Attorney Pollock for approximately three years on separate issues. His reply to any contact I made, along with his compassionate and consistent assistance, has helped our family greatly. His advice was sound and helpful!! Recently, on a matter in which he did not us...ually represent, he was honest and referred me to another attorney, who also was greatly helpful and kind. It was clear to this family that with his level of dedication and effort, even though we couldn't hire him for a recent matter, we would certainly wish to retain him if need be in the future. Thank you, Attorney Pollock.

Unethical

I called Mr. Pollock last week to discuss a family matter in which I am involved. I was seeking out of state counsel for my mother. During our initial and only phone conversation, there was never any mention of a consultation fee, nothing. Actually I thought our conversation was very pleasant. I advi...sed Mr. Pollock that I had two other attorneys I was considering and he was the first to call me back. He sent a follow up email with his rates. Still no mention of any consultation fee nor a retainer agreement. Based upon a conversation with another attorney, I had decided that someone else was a better fit for my case. Once I let Mr. Pollock know that I had decided to go in a different direction and I would keep him in mind for the future, he sends me an extremely odd yet somewhat threatening email suggesting that if I don't pay him $50, they he would not be able to keep our phone call confidential. Last time I checked, when you speak to any attorney, there is an automatic attorney-client privilege. I have had dozens of high-profile attorneys in my employ over the past 13 years and never have I once EVER been charged a consultation fee. Nor have I had anyone threaten me to pay them to keep our "42 minute conversation" confidential. Mainly consisting of information regarding his recent cruise he had taken and how the Steelers were doing. Well clearly, Mr. Pollock needed the $50.00. I am so glad I did not hire this person. This just shows the type of person he is and I certainly would not feel comfortable with his representation.

I do not feel that this is a fair or accurate representation of our lengthy consultation conversation that went into great detail about the strategy of this anonymous person's case, her childhood in Beaver County, her accomplishments in piloting, the fame of her spouse, her estranged spouse's child acting like her stepmother was just a gold-digger, etc. "ad nauseam." It is correct that I related brief facts about the cruise from which I had just returned. It is correct that I requested a nominal $50 for my time to open a file to ensure that I accurately knew/documented all of the parties' names, etc. in perpetuity for conflicts checks, etc. It is also relevant to note that she did tell the truth that, as is my wont, I returned her voicemail message very quickly as a typical example of my timely client service.
