Excellent Representation

Allison and Vanessa are knowledgeable, relatable, honest and professional! All the things that you look for in an attorney standing by you and your family during the immigration process. My journey lasted for 18months and I finally have my green card! We had a complicated situation with waivers, livi...ng in 2 different states for work and so on. We are beyond happy and finally live together because of my green card! Thank you Vanessa and Allison! You are the best!

Dedicated, Responsive and Beyond Professional

At the time my husband and I first contacted Vanessa and Allison we were living in California where we had moved (from Pittsburgh) for my husbands new job. Due to circumstances completely out of our control his visa was arbitrarily denied and we were forced to immediately apply for a green card via ...marriage and move back to Pittsburgh where we had family and friends who could assist us. Vanessa and Allison quickly became a team that we could depend upon to help us with every aspect of the green card process. Not only were they extremely diligent about due dates and what was required to satisfy the requests of the immigration office, they were also masters of time management (we never felt like we were in a rush to get them documents or that there was a possibility of our paperwork not being completed on time). I am a paralegal and have worked for both small and large law firms as well as for the government, I only mention this because I was continually impressed with the level of professionalism and attention to detail that Vanessa AND her paralegal Allison exhibited throughout this process. As I mentioned above I never felt as though a "ball was dropped" or something was forgotten. With the two of them working in tandem I was ALWAYS able to reach someone either by email or telephone if I had a question or concern. I could not recommend Vanessa and Allison enough and we actually have given their information to a friend of ours who started the process at the same time as us but had to go back to her home country and start over due to the negligence of her attorney. With something as important as being able to see and hold your loved one every day being at risk I would not trust anyone else. Thanks to Vanessa and Allison my husband and I were beyond prepared for our green card interview in February and received notification on the very same day that it had been granted. My husband just received his official card in the mail last night and already Allison sent us an email letting us know that the next step 2 years from now has been calendared. If you are looking for someone who you can rely on during one of the most stressful ordeals a person can go through, look no further than Vanessa Caruso.

Avvo Rating

Our Rating is calculated using information the lawyer has included on their profile in addition to the information we collect from state bar associations and other organizations that license legal professionals. Attorneys who claim their profiles and provide Avvo with more information tend to have a higher rating than those who do not.

What determines Avvo Rating?
  • Experience & background Years licensed, work experience, education
  • Legal community recognition Peer endorsements, associations, awards
  • Legal thought leadership Publications, speaking engagements
  • Discipline Disciplinary information may not be comprehensive, or updated. We recommend that you always check a lawyer's disciplinary status with their respective state bar association before hiring them.
