Michael Angelo Maccagnan

Attorney Michael Angelo Maccagnan earned his Juris Doctorate degree from Duquesne University School of Law.  He also earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting from Grove City College where he graduated with scholar athlete awards and Deans List with Distinction honors.  Attorney Maccagnan served as a tax consultant with two international public accounting firms, Deloitte & Touche LLP and Arthur Andersen.  He has also worked in the investment banking business with Pittsburgh based mutual fund leader Federated Investors, Inc. 

Attorney Maccagnan has worked with Fortune 500 companies in a variety of taxation issues.  He has experience in transactional, corporate and partnership matters including taxation aspects of debt structuring, mergers and acquisitions, financing and leasing of equipment, real estate, business formations and entertainment contracts.   His practice today focuses on a wide variety of legal issues, including: Individual Income Tax Planning, Wills and Estate Administration, Elder Law, Zoning and Land Use, Entertainment Law, Insurance Law, Personal Injury, Business Formations, Contract Law among other topics.

Attorney Maccagnan is a member of the Allegheny County Bar Association, the Pennsylvania Bar Association and the Pennsylvania Bar Institute.  Additionally, he serves as Chairman of the Hampton Township Zoning Hearing Board.  In this capacity he presides at hearings for variance requests to the municipal zoning ordinance, adjudicates the cases with other Board members and writes opinions granting or denying the requested variance, time extensions, etc.
