Husband (Asst Chief)/Wife (Court Clerk) for the Town of Beloit were retaliated against for their opposition to the Police Chief's discriminatory acts against a police officer. The Police Chief and Town ... Administrator took retaliatory steps to silence their opposition. Such retaliatory actions included demoting the Assistant Chief to Sergeant followed by acts resulting in a constructive discharge. Retaliatory actions were taken against the Court Clerk by changing her full time position to part time resulting in a loss of medical insurance at a time she was being treated for cancer.
