I recently resolved a case for a cab driver from Somalia. He was driving his taxi at 2:00 a.m. when I drunk driver driving the wrong way on a one way street pulled out in front of him. Initially he w ... as told by the insurance company for the drunk-driver that the accident was his fault. I took on his case and, eventually, persuaded the insurance company to pay the cab driver the policy limits of the drunk driver. I cannot be sure, but I believe my client’s foreign sounding name played a part in the insurance company’s handling of this case. I was glad I could help him out.
