This is a case in which my client was charged with theft from a national clothing chain. She had prior convictions for theft and was facing a potential prison sentence as a repeat property offender. Sh ... e had been offered 90 days of jail by the prosecutor, through her public defender. She contacted me and we were able to work out a civil compromise with the national legal department for the clothing chain in New York City and the case was dismissed
