Lorraine Moynihan Schmitt

We went to Lorraine for help updating my mother's will and health proxy/living will, and to obtain Power of Attorney over her affairs. Mother is well aware of her diminishing cognitive abilities and is easily embarrassed. But after three meetings and signing all the papers, Mother talked on and on ab...out how wonderful Lorraine was, so patient and willing to explain things in simple terms, and how comfortable she felt about the whole experience. Lorraine brings a wealth of experience to estate planning and, just as important, a great deal of tact and respect. She emphasized that Mother was her client, not us, which made my mother feel that she still had some control over her life. As an elderly person moving to an independent living community and about to give up her car, this was enormously important to my mother.

Recently, Lorraine assisted my mother with her estate planning documents - Will, POA, etc. Her ability to put my mother (and me) at ease during the process was phenomenal. She has a very calm demeanor, is extremely knowledgeable and if gifted in her ability to effectively explain legal details to a l...ay-person. The process of the initial meeting to executing the documents was extremely smooth and has put my mind and my mother's at ease. Lorraine has also prepared documents for me and my husband. We were both very impressed with her work ethic, professionalism and great personality. She is just terrific and I highly recommend her.
