Natalie Suzanne Peterman

Natalie (Peterman) French focuses her practice in adoption, foster care, and kinship guardianship proceedings. Ms. French has represented adoptive parents, birth parents and agencies in a variety of adoption related proceedings. She represents adoptive families engaged in processing and finalizing adoptions, including private adoptions, step-parent adoptions, re-adoptions (IR-4 visas) and second parent adoptions. Ms. French also represents individuals or couples who are considering whether to place a child for adoption. While most adoptions are uncontested, she successfully represented an adoptive couple at the trial level as part of a contested adoption proceeding brought by the biological mother. Ms. French also practices in the areas of commercial and residential transactions, small business formation and management, trusts and estate planning, and probate and estate administration. She is a member of the New York State Bar Association.
