0 stars. Travis was assigned to me as a public defender and claims you can consult with him by reaching out to him at his office. It is extremely rare to get in touch with him. He doesn’t return phone calls, or messages. Also, I had a clear cut and dry defense against a supposed interlock violation ...and was informed that I would not have a case to try and defend myself against the accusation. Instead, knowing that I had no knowledge of what the laws were in this situation, I was instructed to take probation for 3 years after being on conditional discharge for over a year already. I was told I would not get a trial, instead a hearing with the judge and DA only, and also was told that I would most definitely lose if I went that route. So taking probation added another 3 years of stress and headaches to my life. Not to mention an interlock device for a total of 5 years. He simply does not care about anyone who cannot afford an attorney, so do not be fooled when he says he has your best interest in mind. He represented me, if you call it that, for 3 months. Maybe longer, and asked me who I was every single time I went to court. He won’t go out of his way, or worry about your rights if it causes extra work for him. I am a first time offender and the charge is misdemeanor. I am suffering through 5 long years of punishment, classes, expenses, rights being taken away, etc. Extremely dissatisfied because after I agreed to the terms he proposed, I found out it was all a sham and I could have had a defense to combat the accusations of an interlock violation. However, it had been months before I found out and by then was too late to file an appeal. Wish there was negative stars to choose.

I hired Travis to represent me in a criminal matter. I was extremely dissatisfied with his performance and his failing to address, what I believe to be serious issues, pertaining to the case. A attorney has the legal obligation to insure there clients rights are preserved. A attorney has the duty ...to address all wrongs which have or could potentially have a harmful impact on the clients case. A attorney should immediately address any issue in a timely manner as to preserve any legal time limits which would bar a defendant from raising the issue in the future. Please do thorough research on any attorney prior to hiring, as if you obtain poor representation it could affect you for life.
