After oral argument, the Appellate Court flatly rejected each argument. The defendant then unsuccessfully sought to appeal to the Connecticut Supreme Court. Although a financial recovery was delayed by these appeals, the trial court judgment accrued interest for over two years, increasing the amount due to the client to more than $1 million.
