Myers vs. Quesenberry (1983) 144 Cal.App.3d 888; Myers was a pedestrian injured by a driver being treated by Dr. Quesenberry who lost control of her vehicle after being told by doctor she had miscarrie ... d and was directed to self-drive to the hosptial. She went into a pregancy related diabetic shock when a few blocks from the doctor's office. Dr. Quesenberry was alleged to have failed to provide warnings that a miscarriage of a diabetic patient was likely to lead to a diabetic attack seriously effecting driving ability, and, particularly directed to actually self-drive in a highly emotional state, which causes diabetic attacks. Case was decided in Court of Appeal in a published opinion reversing trial court in favor of Myers.
