Poor communication, says she will return your call or follow up with you and simply does not. Very timely for sending an invoice but doesn’t respond to any other correspondence. Cost me time with my children after she reassured me that would not even be a threat. I felt absolutely bullied by her and... would not recommend to anyone for any legal matter.

Ms. Vanderbrooke was hired for a family court matter that has been in court for years. She appeared more interested in the image, finances and power of being an attorney than actually providing mindful legal practices. She is inappropriate for family court matters. She preys on the trauma and fears o...f parents to line her pockets. Ms. Vanderbrooke loves to mention her family in court while financial ruining the families she represents. She is not worth the costly investment. Ms. Vanderbrooke has poor client communication, she often bluntly lies in open court, has memory or focus issues, lacks proper legal knowledge, submits incorrect filings or fails to file. Ms. Vanderbrooke has perfected the act of mudslinging and manipulation to cover up that she doesn't know family law or how to conduct herself in such a sensitive environment.

We retained her in a family court matter. She had very poor communication. She would promise documents to us but did not deliver on her promises. She doesn't have an office phone- only a "office" cell phone that is never answered. She was very hard to get a hold of. She wasn't paying attention... to our case, so much so that we had to fire her and switch counsel.

As soon as my retainer was signed and paid Ms. Vanderbook continually failed to communicate and update me on my case. She was unreachable for days at a time and was never on time for court appearances and appointments. Ms. Vanderbook always seemed to have plenty of time to chat with the attorneys on... her floor, go out to lunch, roll in to the office late, but never enough time to focus on my case.
