Absolute no!

My husband had a criminal case where Mr. lobosco was hited as a public defender. First of all, yhe entire 6 months, he saw my husband 1 time and spoke to him on the phone one time.... In 6 months. Mr Lobosco never once answered a phone call from my husband and there were almost 50 recorded call attem...pts. I emailed him over 10 times without responses and the rare occasion I did get a response it was short and never gave all the information asked about. He never tried to enter a plea deal until my husband asked him to ask the da for one. We never saw a complete discovery packet until AFTER the plea was entered and found that Mr Lobosco had the information for 3 months prior to that but never gave it to is even after repeated attempts by myself and my husband. The information in the discovery packet was false and proveable to be false and when it was brought to his attention he didn't do anything to fight it. Mr Lobosco lied to us about the release of property saying that the da said it was released which it never was and he never called the parole board to release the hold after the hearings were concluded. I dont know how he is as a paid attorney, but when I first spoke with him I had high hopes because he played himself up really will and I thought he was actually going to help when what he really did was screw us over completely and allowed an unnecessary sentence.

If you want a lawyer to SCREW up your case, choose this guy..

I had my doubts about this guy because by his own admission, he was always busy "on trial in Queens". However, as you can see from his website, he has prosecutorial experience and has practiced for 20 years, so I figured he knew what he was doing..Plus, he assured me that he's always very attentive ...to all his clients' cases no matter how busy he might appear..I took his word for it..Bad move!! This guy must have never tried a DWI case before as a defense attorney..He had absolutely no idea how to handle the administrative portion of my DWI case, involving the status of my driver's license.. When I needed the case postponed because my witness couldn't make it, he didn't bother doing it, even though I reminded him more than half a dozen times.. He told me that I could show up @ the place of the hearing without him & wait on a line & request another date, which turned out to be erroneous information.. I had to go before an administrative judge who pretty much let me have it for my attorney's absence & questioned his competence. The judge told me that he couldn't excuse the absence because Mr. Lobosco didn't follow standard protocol for postponing a case, & I could either proceed w/out my attorney on that day or I could have my license revoked because he failed to request another date. I had to accept the revocation until a new hearing date would be set (which is at least a few months down the line), because I wasn't going to proceed without an attorney present.. Additionally, Mr Lobosco FAILED to even contact the District attorney's office regarding the release of my forfeited vehicle, which had been in custody for four months.. I fired this clown & hired another attorney that I know has experience handling these types of cases. Also, when I requested a financial accounting of my case so that he could return unused retainer funds owed to me, Mr. Lobosco ignored my request and wouldn't return my phone calls. Thank God I paid a chunk of his fees via credit card & filed a dispute through the credit card company. Moral of this story, stay away!!
