I represented a dialysis nurse who worked for Massachusetts General Hospital previously. She filed her case initially at the Massachusetts Commission Against Discrimination, then removed it to Suffolk ... Superior Court in 2010. After summary judgment, the sole issue for trial was whether the defendants retaliated against my client for taking FMLA leave. In June, 2013, the case was tried to a jury, which returned a verdict against both the hospital and the plaintiff’s former supervisor.
