John Shields is an attorney at Cellino Law with decades of experience representing injured individuals in New York and New Jersey. He has been practicing law since 1984 and brings more than 20 years of focused experience handling personal injury cases, including participation in over 40 trials.

Before joining Cellino Law, formerly Cellino & Barnes, in 2010, John practiced with the Law Offices of Hill & Moin in New York City. His extensive courtroom experience has shaped his approach to advocacy and reinforced his commitment to holding negligent parties accountable.

John’s path to becoming an attorney was grounded in real-world experience. Between the ages of 18 and 26, while earning his undergraduate, graduate, and law degrees, he worked a wide range of jobs, including landscaper, dishwasher, short-order cook, bartender, school bus driver, and UPS truck loader while attending law school at night. These experiences gave John a deep understanding of what it takes to earn a living, support a family, and maintain stability.

That perspective guides his work today. John understands how devastating an injury can be when it disrupts a person’s ability to work and live the life they once knew. He is dedicated to being a strong advocate for his clients and ensuring they have a voice during one of the most difficult times of their lives.
