Mr. Simpson has represented independent inventors, small companies, universities and large corporations for 20 years, preparing and prosecuting patent applications in a variety of technical art areas, including the mechanical, electrical and computer/software arts. He specializes in computer software and business method patents.

Patent infringement searches and opinions, advice and counsel regarding "designing around" issued patents, second chair in patent infringement litigation, both for plaintiff and defendant.

With over a decade of experience in the preparation and prosecution of federal trademark applications, Mr. Simpson has been retained over his career to investigate and evaluate hundreds of cases of trademark infringement, has sent and responded to hundreds of cease and desist letters, and served second chair in trademark infringement litigation.
