Suit was filed against the City of Fort Worth, Texas as a result of the death of two teenagers who drowned after being swept off of a low water bridge during a heavy storm. The City of Fort Worth file ... d a Plea to the Jurisdiction, which was granted, and the case was dismissed. Case was appealed to the Fort Worth Court of appeals and the dismissal was reversed. City of Fort Worth appealed to the Texas Supreme Court, which upheld the decision of the Fort Worth Court of Appeals. The case was remanded to the trial court for further proceedings.
