Biography
While you may recognize Ms. Altshiler as the legal analyst for ABC News, she is an experienced trial attorney (and former sex crimes prosecutor) with over 50 jury trial verdicts in criminal matters and multiple jury trial verdicts in multi-million dollar civil matters. She maintains an active practice as the Managing Attorney for the Buffalo office of a NYC law firm and litigates both civil and criminal matters in State and Federal Courts across New York, New Jersey and Alaska. She is admitted in all four federal court districts across New York State. In addition to litigation, she has taught trial technique and law courses at Columbia University in the City of New York, Buffalo State College, Daemen College and to attorneys across the country through CLE programs. She is also a Certified Federal Court Mediator for the Western District of NY and has served as an arbitrator for the NYC Civil Court.
