OUTCOME: Estate wrapped up within five days of death

In 2008, widowed gentleman hired Hammond Law Group to create and fund a Revocable Living Trust for him. In 2009, client passed away. Five days after his death, his Successor Trustee came to our offic ... e to get free advice on what she needed to do to wrap things up. We spent 30 minutes discussing what needed to be done, during which we also drafted a new Certificate of Trust showing that she was the new Trustee and a Deed transferring ownership of his home to the Beneficiary. After that meeting, the only outstanding work to be done was to pay the outstanding medical bills with the money she had access to through the Trust.
